【重磅】Shanghai Disney Resort to Open June 16

Looks like the list of kid friendly activities in Shanghai just got that little bit longer – The Walt Disney Company announced today what fans have been waiting months to hear: Shanghai Disneyland will open on June 16.

Greeting those patient fans in style, the park will roll out a grand opening celebration that will stretch over several days. Keen to tap into Chinese audiences, Disney Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger has emphasized that the opening celebrations will be both “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.”

Iger goes on to explain that inside the park will “reflect Disney’s legendry storytelling along with China’s rich culture.”

Keen to draw in fans from around the country, Shanghai Disneyland will encompass no less than six themed lands, including such exotic locales as Adventure Isle, Gardens of Imagination, Mickey Avenue, Tomorrowland, Treasure Cove and Fantasyland.

Rides aside, the place will also feature not one but two themed hotels (one which will be Toy Story themed), a huge shopping, dining and entertainment district know as ‘Disney Town, playing host to a theatre staging the first Mandarin production of The Lion King, and a 40-hectare ‘Wishing Star Park’ for good measure.

Before you get too excited about bringing the kids here, remember that queues for Disneyland are likely to be gargantuan and exceptionally busy, particularly if the lines for the first Disney merchandise store (which opened in Pudong May 2015) are anything to go by.

游客们将有幸目睹为期数日的盛大“魔幻”开幕庆典 。华特迪士尼公司董事长兼首席执行官罗伯特·艾格称开幕庆典将“是原汁原味又具有中国特色的迪士尼。”

他还补充道“将在呈现迪士尼独有叙事风格的同时融入中国悠久传承的文化魅力，为中国游客创造出前所未有的的娱乐体验。”

作为世界级的旅游景点，迪士尼主题公园共分六大园区： 探险岛、奇想花园、米奇大街、明日世界、藏宝湾和梦幻世界。除此之外，还配有两家主题酒店，一个集购物、餐饮、娱乐为一身的“迪士尼小镇”和星愿公园。

但还是别激动的太早了，这“喜大普奔”的消息传开了，开园那天的客流量也就可想而知了。如果你还记得去年5月份迪士尼商店开张时门口蜿蜒的队伍的话，这次恐怕是有过之而无不及啊。
